Start a private podcast. Join a community with fellow listeners. Connect with your people.
It’s a new kind of podcasting platform with one goal: To help you grow & strengthen your personal network.
Ripple.fm is built around 3 concepts:
Ripple.fm is here to help 3 types of people. Which one(s) are you?
Ripple.fm lets anyone start a private podcast where listeners can register and join your private community to get access to your episodes feed.
Don’t worry — your fans can listen to your podcast episodes using whatever podcatcher app they prefer (Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocketcasts, etc.).
A private podcast on Ripple.fm simply adds an element of community for you and your listeners. Finally—podcasting doesn’t have to be a 1-way medium where you don’t even know your listeners by name!
Your private podcast can be…
Joining a private podcast community is one of the best ways to level up your network.
Not only do you get to meet and rub elbows with the host(s), but also your fellow listeners.
Discuss or debate topics that came up on the show. Meet and network with fellow listeners. Chances are these connections will lead to something! A job, a business, an opportunity, a partnership… Who knows?
And hey—maybe you’d even want to contribute your own private podcasts within the same shared community. More voices chiming in, the better!
By joining a private podcast community on Ripple.fm, you can:
You’re probably a regular listener of a few popular podcasts, right? (maybe more than a few?)
Isn’t it strangely difficult to find and follow other people who love those same pods that you do? Ripple.fm changes that.
Everyone who joins Ripple.fm creates a simple profile, which begins with a simple question: What are your favorite podcasts?
When you create your profile and post your top 3 favorite shows, Ripple.fm will show you who else loves those same shows, so that you can follow eachother!
You can even join or form communities of fellow listeners of your favorite shows. These can be unofficial or official communities where the hosts themselves join in.
A private podcast is just like any other podcast, except it's (typically) only made available to registered subscribers, or members of a private community, rather than available for anyone to discover and listen to via the public podcast directories.
Sometimes a private podcast can be semi-private, where there are two feeds: A public feed and a private feed, to offer the best of both worlds. Perhaps the private feed includes exclusive bonus content along with access to a private community.
From the listener's standpoint, a private podcast works just like any other podcast. Listeners can add it to their favorite podcatcher app (like Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocketcasts or any other podcast listening app) and download episodes along with their other regular listens.
The private podcast RSS feed can be protected to only currently subscribed listeners via a unique authorization system powered by Ripple.fm.
Listeners can also, of course, listen to the podcast on the web via the web player in Ripple.fm.
Yes — While private (or semi-private) podcast communities are the focus, Ripple.fm can also be used to host and promote a public podcast as well.
You can list your public podcast on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and any other public platform—while also building your community and network on Ripple.fm.

Ripple.fm is the latest product (read: obsession) from Brian Casel— that's me 👋
As a podcaster of over 12 years, I found podcasting to be the single-most effective way to grow my network, my audience, and my businesses.
BUT—as any podcaster will tell you—it's a notoriously one-way medium. My listeners know a lot about me, but I know almost nothing about them! And when I do have the pleasure of meeting a listener, I wish I knew them sooner (because they're awesome!).
It amazes me how podcasters and their fans have so much in common, yet are so disconnected. So I'm building Ripple.fm to change that. For me. For my people. And I hope, for you and yours too.
Join me and help me make the Ripple.fm network great.
